Training Description
This play therapy training is offered Live In-Person for contact hours and Virtual via Zoom Platform for non-contact hours.
This is the fifth training of the Exploring History and Seminal Theories of Play Therapy series.
This training explores Ecosystemic Play Therapy. Participants will learn how to view the child within the context of their broader environment, including family, school, culture, and community, and how these systems impact the child’s emotional and behavioral functioning. The training will cover strategies for engaging caregivers, collaborating with other systems, and using play-based interventions that reflect the child’s lived context. Emphasis will be placed on the therapist’s role in facilitating change across multiple levels of the child’s world.
