In 2012, Dr. Rhonda Johnson founded CCFAM Training a continuing education business focused on supervision, professional development, and ethical practice. As demand grew for quality instruction in the field of play therapy, she expanded that vision by launching Play Therapy Training Resources in 2021—a continuing education business dedicated to offering specialized training and resources for play therapy professionals.

She is the founder and owner of the Center for Counseling and Family Relationships (CCFAM) , a large, thriving group practice that was established in 2007 and specializes in family systems and trauma-informed approaches. Dr. Johnson is also the founder and owner of CCFAM Training, established in 2012, offering supervision and ethics courses. She is also the owner of Play Therapy Training Resources, established in 2021. Through those companies, she provides continuing education, supervision, and consultations.

Nik has been a private practice counselor working in North Texas since 2017. He works with children aged (4+), adolescents, and adults, specializing in complex trauma, dissociative disorders, and play therapy. Previously Nik worked at an agency in Missouri providing play therapy to children in the foster care system. He offers continuing education to professionals especially within the topics of working with developmental trauma, dissociative disorders, and play therapy.

Jaime has worked in private practice since 2014 at the Center for Counseling and Family Relationships (CCFAM). She graduated with a degree from the University of North Texas. Jaime works with children aged (3+), teens, adults, and parents, specializing in anxiety, depression, giftedness, trauma and parenting issues. Previously, Jaime worked for an Early Childhood Intervention Program for 5 years, where she collaborated with children and their families to obtain appropriate services.

INTERNATIONALLY CREDENTIALED SANDTRAY THERAPIST
Cristina has been a private practice counselor at the Center for Counseling and Family Relationships since 2018. She earned her Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2015 and became Licensed as a Professional Counselor in 2018. Cristina is EMDR Trained and is an Internationally Credentialed Sandtray Therapist. Her prior experience includes counseling in a private university setting where she helped college students cope and adapt with life transitions and as a crisis counselor for children in schools. She works with adolescents, parents, and adults, specializing in trauma work.

Chelsea worked as a private practice clinician at the Center for Counseling and Family Relationships (CCFAM) from 2019-2024. She graduated with an LCSW degree from California State University Fullerton in 2012. Chelsea works with children aged (4+), adolescents and adults, specializing in complex trauma. Previously, she worked in California providing specialty mental health services (including play therapy) to low-income children, teens, and adults, as well as youth in the foster care system.
