Training Description
This play therapy training is offered Live In-Person for contact hours and Virtual Webinar via Zoom for non-contact hours.
Through the lens of play therapy, this training will cover TBRI, a research-informed model for working with children who have experienced trauma and their caregivers. TBRI research on early risk factors and the impact on a child’s developmental trajectory will be addressed. Techniques will be focused on self-regulation and social skills to use in play therapy by meeting the internal physical needs and sensory needs of the child. TBRI strategies and responses will be shared to implement with children and their caregivers in play therapy.
"TBRI training this past week was fantastic! I was already able to use some of the skills in a session, when a child had so much shame and she couldn't even lift their head or stop crying. Through some of the strategies I learned in your training, I was able to connect mom and child and see a beautiful change in the child, going from shame to feeling loved and accepted. Both mom and child were empowered." -Recent Participant
