TRAINING DESCRIPTION

This play therapy training is offered Live In-Person for contact hours and Virtual via Zoom Platform for non-contact hours.

This dynamic workshop equips play therapists and mental health professionals with research-supported discipline frameworks designed to enhance caregiver consultations within the play therapy process. Through an integration of Ecosystemic Play Therapy (EPT) and Attachment Theory (AT), participants will learn how to translate complex discipline models into practical, parent-friendly strategies that foster collaboration and promote lasting change.

Emphasis is placed on helping therapists engage caregivers by explaining the “why” behind play therapy and discipline models in language that resonates with their family values, dynamics, and child’s unique developmental needs and temperament. Through interactive discussions, case studies, and clinical application exercises, participants will gain the confidence and competence to guide caregivers in shaping effective, connected, and sustainable discipline practices.

2. Demonstrate two strategies for engaging caregivers in understanding the rationalefor play therapy and selected discipline models that align with a child’s developmental needs, temperament, and family dynamics
